today is triple science dAy!!! haha.. right after recess, we got straight 5 periods of sciences.. chemistry practical, physics and bio practical... seriously i dunno what is wrong with me during chemistry practical lar!! all was ok lor... until god knows why i asked zhu li where is the ammonia solution because i poured it into a beaker ( around half filled) and i misplaced it or something..then zhu li pointed the beaker to me and i took it and ta-da.. i placed my nose in thabeaker and i took a deep breath...OH MY GOD?!!! one of the stupidest property of ammonia is that it has got a strong and pungent smell which is so omg-edly choking and i took a deep breath..omg?! what am i trying to do.. then zhu li already tried to stretch her hand to stop me but apparently, i am faster... so omg lar!! zhu li was saying after i smelled that ammonia, i stuneed for A FEW SECONDS WITH MY NOSE STILL INSIDE THE BEAKER.. then my hand shaked a bit, i placed the beaker in a slow motiion and turned my head to cough... OMG?! what is wrong with me lar?! so omg...hahas... am i being possesed or what? haha...
then my brain was like, stunned.. dunno leh..headache after that..HAHA... after that physics.. nothing much..learnt light...NICE TOPIC!! hehe...
bio practical!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! zhu li is the disector then dh should be her assistant to hold de froggy lar.. then we asked dh to queue for the frog.. somehow or rather, he went to be the last guy to take the frog.. then our frog was like totally submerged into the alcohol but it is still awaked... then i was like, OMG?! that frog super lar! submerged in alcohol still awaked..faint...then we keep pouring and pouring and ta-da!! it was knocked out.. but then when we brought it back to the bench, it woke up just before the first snip... so i took the whole bottle of alcohol and pour it over the frog and the cotton wool covering the head of the frog.. after a few attempts, it was finally knocked out..PHEW!!!
i didn't really see de first snip.. i find it very painful and heartaching.. so i closed my eyes... after the first snip then i open my eyes... so poor thingy...first we cut the skin.. we changed dunno how many scissors because they are so"sharp".. then can see de vessels on the skin and everything.. so little blood lar... then my job is to suck up the blood... using cotton wool of course! and to pin out the skin.. i pin up the left side of the frog, XF the right... then next is the muscle layer... overall ok lar.. easier than the first snip..haha.. then can see the organs after the mucsle layers had been pinned up...
the lung is inflated.. the alveoli are full of alcohol and a bit of oxygen... the reason why it was inflated to around 5 times its size is because it lungs contains a lot of alcohol and the body is trying to get rid of it by breathing in more air.. so it gets inflated!! really big and feels like a balloon.. is like you can lift the lung up effortlessly lar.. i think is de right lung... the other lung was at the underneath...oxgenated lung... because it is red!
we didn't really want to puncture the lung, but in the end after taking out the fat deposits, we got no choice to cut the lung to retrieve other organs.. yupps.. so we punctured in then all the air inside came out as a form or bubbles because got fluid inside.. so i used cotton wool to suck it up and realised that it is all blood...eek.... then took out the stomach, small intestines and the eggs and oviduct..haha..a lot of eggs.. A LOT!! all black black one...eee...we suspect the frog got dunno what disease, maybe cancer because the liver got a lot of hard hard tumors then mrs choy say got disease...haha... i love the kidney and the heart!! so cute lar!! kidney very cute!! bean-shaped... hehe.. then the heart is OMG lar.. is like, at first when we cut the heart, zhu li placed it on my head.. due to reflex action, the heart kept pumping even thought it didn't pump any blood out.. then i was like, shocked? then just nice XF's finger came over and i squeezed his finer because the heart is so OMG... ok lar, the heart pumped throughtout the disection but the frog won't feel any pain and most probably died in the middle of the disection, just that due to reflex action, the heart kept pumping... then i was holding the pericadium and passed the heart around... there is like, only 3 chambers because that no have double circulation, looks quite cute lar..hehe.. but a bit scary because keep pumping...
then got the left and right lungs mah.. the one which was punctured was red in colour while the other one was purple ( deoxygenated )... yup yup.. so quite fun lar!! haha... then dunno who squeezed the rectum then all the waste material came out...eeek... then the gall bladder was attached to the liver, so zhu li tried to cut it off... then the gall bladder got a hole then i was supporting the gall bladder and liver mah.. then all the bile juice flow onto my hand...eeee... greenish thingy..lucky i got wear gloves..PHEW ARH!!
after taking all the organs out.. we can see the backbone and spine...so omg lar... haha... but after the disection, i was moody for a while.. a bit shocked and blah blah lar... dunno why..scared only after the disection... haha.. weird me...
went to gz after that..nothing much... changed sitting position and zhi rong was on my right.. haha..funny!! haha.. went to tuition after that...nothing much nerh..

may the frog rest in pieces..jk jk.. may the frog rest in peace.. but i think it won't, because we sort of like murdered it, because it died a horrible and unwilling death..so cruel.. all for the sake of science...
